School Librarian
Kelsye Baudoin
If you can read, you can do anything in the world you want to do.
Who Is Our Librarian?
My name is Mrs. Kelsye Baudoin; at school our students call me Mrs. Kelsye. I became a reader in middle school which is probably later than many readers develop. Accelerated Reader was a new program in my district and I began to enjoy the challenge of trying to see how well I remembered the books I was reading. Eventually it turned into me loving books in general, and especially the adventures they took me on. Books made me laugh, they made me cry, and they took me to places I had never been before. I loved how a book could make me see the main character’s perspective, even if that character and I had nothing in common. My love for reading quickly developed into a love for libraries. The fun of book fairs, Accelerated Reader quizzes, visits to the public library, and so much more made me pursue a career in school libraries. My other interests include Disney, cats, movies, music, swimming, and family.
My Vision Statement
The Belle Place Elementary School Library will be the heart of the school, a place where all teachers and all students feel safe, excited to learn, and empowered by knowledge.
My Mission
The mission of the Belle Place Elementary School Library is to create lifelong learners and readers by enriching and diversifying the library curriculum through a variety of materials and informational resources. The library will incorporate all major content areas into weekly lessons. Students will develop problem solving skills, learn to communicate and collaborate with their peers, and experience more student-led learning.
